Shipping policy

Hills Florist delivers flowers locally from our shop at 224 Orrell Road, Orrell, Wigan WN5 8HG. We do not offer national courier shipping. Collection from the shop is also available.

Delivery areas
Local delivery covers Wigan and surrounding areas, including postcodes WN1–WN6 and WN8. See our local flower delivery areas page for more detail.

Delivery charge
A standard local delivery charge of £6.99 applies to delivery orders. The charge is shown at checkout.

Delivery times
Local deliveries normally take place between 8:30am and 5:30pm, Monday to Saturday. We do not deliver on Sundays or bank holidays.

Next-day and same-day
Next-day delivery is available on all products for orders placed before 10pm. A selection of products can be delivered the same day if ordered before 12 noon — please call 01942 217999 to place a same-day order. Choose your delivery date during checkout (or when arranging by phone).

If nobody is in
If the recipient is not available when we attempt delivery, flowers may be left with a neighbour, left in a safe place, or returned to the shop. In all cases when the recipient is unavailable, a card will be left for the recipient confirming the day and time of the attempted delivery and what we did with the flowers. If flowers are returned to the shop, we will wait to be contacted to arrange collection or re-delivery (re-delivery may not be possible on the original delivery date).

Address and contact details
Please give a full postal address including an accurate postcode, and where possible the recipient’s telephone number, plus your daytime phone or email. We cannot accept responsibility for late or non-delivery if an incomplete or incorrect address is supplied. For offices, hospitals, funeral directors, hotels and similar, the signature of anyone authorised to accept delivery counts as proof of delivery.

Peak periods
Around Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Easter weekend, and Christmas (18–28 December), deliveries may take place between 7:30am and 6:30pm on the requested date. Timed morning/afternoon requests are not available in these periods.

Funeral orders
Online funeral orders must be placed at least 24 hours before the requested delivery time. For shorter notice, call 01942 217999.

Availability and substitution
All products are subject to availability. If needed, we may substitute flowers or packaging of equal or greater value and quality so the overall look of the design is kept. Some flowers and plants may be delivered in bud for longer life.
